This paper studies the translation in bilingualised dictionaries with a user orientation from the perspective of dictionary functions. In this paper, the writer distinguishes bilingualised dictionaries from ordinary bilingual dictionaries in terms of definition, target users and dictionary functions. On this basis, the writer compares the translation in bilingualised dictionaries with that in bilingual dictionaries. With the dictionary functions as the touchstone, the writer concludes the problems existing in the translation of entry words and illustrations in bilingualised dictionaries, with ample examples from several most influential bilingualised dictionaries to support her arguments. The writer also makes a bold try to establish the translation principles of both entry words and illustrations in bilingualised dictionaries. Finally, the writer pays attention to a hot topic in the translation study of bilingualised dictionaries, which is the trend of adaptive translation, and introduces the most important product of this trend--semibilingualised dictionaries.
