| Textbook plays an important role in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The truth thatpopular textbooks edited by Chinese can’t satisfy the need of foreign learners very well, hasbecome a bottleneck of the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. As a result,many researchers have put forward that editors should focus on country-specific and localizationof the edition of textbook.Taking “Chinese Course†as a reference, the writer analyzes “Chinese for Filipinos†fromseveral aspects, such as compiling content, language element, the text part, and the practice part.Based on the comparison between “Chinese Course†and “Chinese for Filipinosâ€, the writer triesto find out the differences between the general-purpose textbook and the localization textbook,and then do a deep research on these differences. Hope this paper can have a good effect onediting Chinese language textbooks. |
