Liu Qing, writer from Shaanxi province, had participated in many cultural activitiesin the early age of Yan’an. His theoretical thoughts, conception of creation wassignificantly impacted by the Yan’an cultural movement. As the founder, participant andsuccessor of the Yan’an Literature, Liu Qing is an inseparable part of it. He exhausted hislife to study and promote the spirit of Yan’an Literature, and made this spirit wind throughhis creations. The research on Liu Qing and Yan’an Literature enables us to thoroughlyanalyze the tight relation between him and Yan’an Literature. It conducts deeperunderstanding of various topics as Liu Qing’s literature influenced by Yan’an Literature,Yan’an Literature inherented and developed by him and the impact of Liu Qing onnowadays literature of Shaanxi, etc. The study further gives us the opportunities tosummarize and extract Liu Qing’s literary spirit, explore the value of Yan’an Literature inthe current generation, weasel out of the predicament of modern literature of Shaanxi andaccelerate its development. The objective of this research work on Liu Qing’s case is toinspire the research on the relationships between other famous writers and Yan’anLiterature further, provide referential creation experience for nowadays literature world,and provoke the thinking of the life and fate of contemporary Chinese writers andintellectuals.
