Since1950s, foreign study for career barrier began to perk up, and draw a lot ofconclusions that have impact on many aspects even in nowadays. With the rapiddevelopment of China’s society, the issue of career barriers appears gradually. Indifferent stages in one’s career, the career barrier that individual encountered is different.So the focus of this article is the research of career barrier factors in individuals’ careerearly stages.Personality factors research has been widely combined with a variety ofoccupations and career. With increasing fierce competition for jobs, there is moreemphasis on individual initiative and competitiveness in occupational settings. Forbarriers that individuals encounter in their different stages of career, personality asindividual characteristics of stability, its impact is obvious. Therefore, this paperintroduces the study of personality factors and career barrier.Literature research career barrier more focused on the specific factors to explorewith barrier, while more emphasis on women’s perceived career barrier. Althoughliterature refers to the study of personality factors affect the career, but very little aboutthe personality factors career barrier. This article in the same theoretical framework toexplored the relationship between two concepts.In this paper, a random sample of301individuals of different occupations asquestionnaire was used to collect the relevant data. Process the data by SPSS17.0andExcel in order to get the analysis and discussion of individual personality factors onearly career barrier. The results show that: in the early stages of ones’ career,occupational barrier factors of self-concept factors and personality factors ofextraversion and agreeableness related significantly with significant others supportopenness significantly forward, not encouraged to choose non-traditional career with afriendly nature significantly correlated the friendliness was significantly related to jobdissatisfaction, competitive conditions in the strict correlation significantly,significantly beyond the control of individual conditions in the open related,decision-making and openness related significantly.The paper is divided into five parts. The first part is an introduction, introduces theresearch background, purpose, meaning and ideas; The second part describes thepersonality and career blocking two related concepts, theories, and research; third part of the study design, and data a statistical analysis to verify the research hypothesis;fourth part of a summary of the full text, pointing out the inadequacies of the study andrecommendations on the follow-up study of the proposal; fifth part of the individual andthe employer.
