This study investigated 852 senior high school students from three areas in Fujian Province,then made an analysis of data by SPSS 23.0.For one thing,the paper investigated the present situation and characteristics of demographic variables on perceived career barriers,hope,personal growth initiative and career development readiness of senior high school students.For another,discussed the relationship among perceived career barriers,hope,personal growth initOiative and career development readiness,which may provide a favorable reference value for reducing the perceived career barriers of senior high school students.The results are as follows:Firstly,perceived career barriers of senior high school students were in mediocre level,and hope,personal growth initiative and career development readiness were above average.Secondly,there was a significant difference between the total score of perceived career barriers of senior high school students and gender and grade.That was the boys'perceived career barriers were more than girls,and the Senior Three students were significantly higher than the Senior One and the Senior Two students.Thirdly,senior high school students' hope levels had significant difference on gender and the only child or not:The boys hope levels were higher than girls,and the students who came from the only one child family had higher hope levels than others.Fourthly,there was a significant difference between the total score of personal growth initiative of senior high school students and birthplace and mother's education:Urban students were significantly higher than those in rural areas or villages and towns,and the students whose mother's education was the University were significantly higher than those of the other three.Fifthly,senior high school students' career development readiness had significant difference on grade,birthplace and the only child or not.Sixthly,perceived career barriers,hope,personal growth initiative and career development readiness of senior high school students existed correlation.There was a significant negative correlation between perceived career barriers and hope,personal growth initiative and career development readiness respectively.Besides,hope,personal growth initiative and career development readiness were a significant positive correlation.Seventhly,hope and personal growth initiative had the serial mediation effect between perceived career barriers and career development readiness.
