The Practice Report On The Conference Of Interpreting Forum On International Cooperation And Modern Logistics In Northeast Asia

In this report, based on the interpreting practice of Northeast Asia International Cooperation and Modern Logistics Seminar on September6,2012in Changchun, refer to Efforts Model and Comprehensions Equation to analyzed the problems in Conference Interpreting. The Comprehensions Equation of Giles interpretation shows the translation process after the interpreter gets the information and energy allocation in this process. Memory, comprehension, expression interact and complement each other. Comprehension is one of the elements in the process of interpretation, the correct comprehension is the important step to successful interpreting. The comprehension part makes a formula deformation under basis of analyzing the Efforts Model.According to Efforts Model, try to minimize memory part and expression needed to dominate during the process of interpretation.In order to deepen comprehension, interpreter should accumulate all kinds of effective information, increase the language sensitivity, convert the language skillfully.In the first part of this report, based on Forum on International Cooperation and Modern Logistics in Northeast Asia as task background, the author describes the client request, task properties and preparation;The second part, the author describes the process of interpretation practice task, including preparation stage before interpretation,(the author finds parallel file to understand the direction and content of the for um), determination of the internship task partner with and work allocation, making detailed meeting glossary, according to the nature of the meeting to select the translation strategies, making emergency plans, after the internship interpreter teacher reviews and makes professional guidance and summary;The third part, on the basis of Efforts Model and Comprehensions Equation, the barriers and problems can be classified into two main categories:linguistic and cultural,extra-linguistic and situational barriers, and then the author finds corresponding strategies to solve those barriers.The finally part, Gile’s theory makes great effect to deepen comprehension, memory and language translations. And good comprehension is half to successful interpretation implementation, rational and feasible analysis process should be based on a lot of language knowledge and extra language accumulation, so the interpretation should pay attention to the accumulation of language knowledge, become a "walking encyclopedia", with agile thinking, quick comprehension for the information of a spokesman, to win success of interpretation work.
