As one philosophy essence of anything、 anywhere and anytime, I Ching (I-ology, theBook of Changes) certainly will affect logo design in China. Based on nationality of logo, thearticle makes overall and solid analysis to relations between I Ching and logo design, mixestraditional culture essence with Chinese modern logo, and appreciates stimulation of I Chingto modern logo design.Firstly, the article summarizes I Ching’s current research situation and ideology meaning,and analyze influence of I Ching to Chinese traditional arts, and inspire designers to thinknewly traditional I Ching culture.Secondly, the article analyzes the traditional culturalqualities of Chinese logo, and analyzes relations between logo design and material culturethrough Chinese characters and art symbols, and explains the deep origin of logo design andtraditional culture in the angle of the ideograph.Thirdly, the article explains meanings of theimage of I Ching: Tai Ji、Hetu、 Luoshu、Guaxiang,and searches the usage of the four IChing images in modern logo design, and shows clearly the relations between I Chingsymbols and logo symbols, and creates an important way for the logo design.Finally, from theangle of I Ching philosophy, the article searches the inference of image、 change、analogy、circumference、 the five elements in logo design, and connects I Ching cultureto modern logo design, appreciates meaning of I Ching ideology, makes the past serve thepresent, search deep essence, injects Chinese culture into logo design, and find the nationalway of a flourish Chinese modern logo design.
