Research On The Place Of Funerary Objects In The Tombs Of Western Zhou Dynasty In Shaanxi Province

This paper selected three typical sites in the Shaanxi Province, Zhouyuan,Fengghao, Liangdai village cemetery,as the entry point of the study.Applying the method that was designed by myself to do statistical and classification of the placement of funerary objects in more than150tombs exhaustively.And I can get a more systematic and comprehensive understanding of the mode of placing funerary objects in Shaanxi Province of Western Zhou Dynasty.Then I summed up the characteristics of the mode of placing funerary objects,which were reflected by the selected material, combining the shapes of tombs,and discussed the reasons.Subsequently, I used the same method to compared with the the surrounding in Western Zhou.Based the analysis of a large number of materials, according to preliminary carved out three cultural areas.They were the core cultural area of Zhou, North Jin-West Yv cultural area and the remote States region area. And the reasons that leaded these three areas,which I analyzed,mainly due to ethnic attribution, cultural exchanges and geographic distance the three factors, which improved that a single view of ethnic attribution to discuss funeral customs in the past.I apply this understanding to solve specific problems in archeology. To research the identity of the tombs in the Liangdai cemetery,I compared the mode of placing funerary objects in the cemetery and other tombs in surrounding cemetery.The result was that the tombs in the north zone and the south zone have different characteristic and the Southern tombs was similar with the Guo State cemetery in burial custom.".Basing on that I decided that the southern tombs was the tombs of Wan who was a hideaway of Rui State,and the place of Rui was in the South Jin. At last,I summarized this theory and raised some hope.
