| Overseas internship plays a significant role in training MTCSOL students in terms of cultivating students’ innovative and practical ability. However, several urgent issues remain confusing since the MTCSOL course is at its early stage.The author compared her experience in teaching-internship in Hasanuddin University with several interns’ teaching experience in other overseas universities or internship bases. The author concludes that the lack of facilitating MTCSOL students with sufficient resources affects interns’ progress. On the other hand, overseas interns to some extents lack the required skills regarding Chinese teaching. By analyzing these two crucial points the author suggests that it is of high urgency to refine the overseas internship program. It is also important to connect domestic course to the overseas internship in a smoother and closer manner. Thus MTCSOL students’ innovative and practical ability would be better improved.The essay consists four chapters. Chapter1generalized the motives for and the importance of the essay, the methodology used the previous achievements and the innovations of this essay; Chapter2focuses on the analysis of the survey regarding the MTCSOL overseas internship; Chapter3analyzes the possible measures for cultivating MTCSOL students’ innovative and practical ability. The author suggests that to achieve this goal, it is important to provide students with more overseas internships as well as various internship contexts. It is also important to improve the official guidance and the evaluation criteria from the institutional part. Chapter4provides the suggestions with regard to the modification of the domestic MTCSOL curriculum. |
