The movie is flowing art and the posters are solidification art. Aposter is often concentrated the essence of the film. In recent years,with the prosperity of the film market, posters are concerned graduallyby people. This paper selected from1977to2009, a total of32years ofChinese movie posters as research subjects. In order to find all thefeatures included in the poster, we analyzed from visual metaphor and space.Finally, we summed up the pros and cons of the new period movie posterson this basis.This paper contains a total of four chapters: The first chapterdefined the concept of the new era movie poster and made a rough divisionof the aesthetics course of film posters. We can grasp the new period movieposter in a whole. The Chapters2and3straight into the subject, froma visual metaphor and space analysis of both new era in Chinese film posteraesthetic characteristics and significances. Chapter2can be dividedinto four parts: Visual metaphor of the posters,The metaphor of power, Surpass the media: self-contained image from thecarrier to cross the border, The metaphor of "the other". Chapter3of filmposters space analysis is divided into six parts: Heterogeneous space,Space narration, As the presence of the unclear space, Ontology andexistence, The spatial juxtaposition:"horizontal" development and bodyspace. The last chapter analyzes the pros and cons of the new era of Chinesefilm posters.
