With the development of the second language classroom teaching, thespoken Chinese course for the beginners also getting more and more attentions. In themeantime, most of the teachers realize that the defects of the traditional teaching concept andteaching model start to come into view,which also influence the teaching effects. Therefore, amore vibrant and more effective teaching approach is desperately needed to be applied to theteaching practice. This paper tries to apply the Task-based Language Teaching(TBLT) to thebeginning-level spoken Chinese course, hope it can be helped to change the situation of theoral class and maintain students’ interests in learning Chinese, arouse their study enthusiasm,and finally achieved the goals of improving the teaching effect and fostering students’comprehensive ability in using language.This paper explores the TBLT mainly from the following aspects: first, overview theresearch meaning of the subject from both the theory and reality aspects, and find a realisticbasis for the application of task-based language teaching; then analyze the domestic andforeign current research situation of the relative subject, and found communicative languageteaching and second language acquisition research the two perspectives; It does not make anysense if a teaching model just remain theoretical, above all it should be used to guide teachingpractice, therefore, I make an introduction of Willis’s mode of operation of the TBLT, thenhave some comparison with the traditional3P mode, highlights its advancements andadvantages; For finding the solutions, I made an attempt to use it in the class, then analyze theeffective enforcements for each step of the task-based teaching and attentions while use it.And more information is given by an example; finally is the evaluation. I got the feedbacks ofthe students through questionnaire surveys and got the positive and negative experiencesthrough practice.
