| Soft power competition in modem world is becoming increasingly fierce,moreand more countries gradually pay great attention to the development of cultural andcreative industries. Therefore it is of great significance to do in-depth study in today’sglobal cultural and creative industries, so that we can accurately grasp their presentsituation and characteristics. Based on the needs of theory and reality, this paper willtry to build a competitiveness index system and take the G20countries as the sampleto evaluate their competitiveness.G20countries play a strategic role in globaleconomy,so discussing actual situation of competitiveness of G20countries’ culturaland creative industries is of vital theoretical and realistic significance.First of all,on the basis of reviewing related researches by domestic and foreignacademic circles,we choose18indicators from the aspects of industrial scale, humancapital, technical level as well as external environment to establish thecompetitiveness index system of cultural and creative industries;then with the help ofcoefficient of variation method,we will compute the weights and evaluate the G20countries’ competitiveness of cultural and creative industries in industrial scale,human capital, technical level and external environment.Moreover, primarydiscussion of distribution characteristics will be made. The results show that there areapparent differences between developing countries and developed countries in thecompetitiveness scores of industrial scale, human capital, technical level and externalenvironment;Ultimately,this paper will use simple additive weighting method tocalculate the comprehensive score of G20countries’ cultural and creative industries.It is showed that America, Europe Union and Japan own high comprehensivecompetitiveness score,while Mexico,India and Indonesia are short of comprehensivecompetitiveness. Finally this article will analyzes the possible problems in indexsystem and on the basis of relevant countries experience, we try to put forward somecorresponding suggestions for countries to better develop their cultural and creativeindustries, it is also an effort to exploring the future correct path of cultural andcreati’ve industries development. |
