A Report On The Translation Project Of Banking And Financial Institutions (Chapter5-7)

In the context of China’s unrelenting implementation of reform and opening up policy andincreasing economic globalization, the growing demands for high-level, pragmatictranslators and interprets cannot be met by traditional translation and interpretationeducation focusing on the fields of literature or theory. The program MTI, Master ofTranslation and Interpretation, is launched to bridge the gap. Based on the projectdescription and process description of the translation project and specific case analysis, thispaper will analyze the characteristics of financial English and discuss correspondingtranslation strategies and matters needing attention in the translation process. The author alsohopes to share experience with other translators and contribute to the improvement of MTIprogram. As to the content, this report consists of four prats: chapter one is about thebackground, requirements and significance of the translation project; chapter two is aboutthe project description and project process; chapter three is case analysis, the authorprimarily summarized the characteristics of finiancial English, then brought forward threemain translation strategies accordingly; the last chapter is the summary of this project.
