A Survey And Analysis Of Teaching Practice Of Master Of Students Of Teaching Chinese To Speakers Of Other Language

The training method of Master of teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Language (MTCSOL) combines course study with internship. As a bridge between theory learning and practical teaching, it plays an important role for MTCSOL. The faculty of arts of Anhui university has formulated its internship plan of full-time MTSOL students in order to enable the students to enhance the practical skills of teaching and teaching management apart from the curriculum learning. it is estimated that among the students of MTCSOL in Anhui university in grade2011and2012, a total of35%students have participated in the teaching internship provided by the university,among which15%of them interned at the International Education Institute of Anhui University while20%of them have their internship abroad.Through the questionnaires and in-depth interviews to the interns, the passage aims to investigate the effect of teaching internship and attempts to explore the plausibility of the internship pattern of the potential problems.The results are as follows:1.Through teaching practice, intern have accumulated teaching experiences as well as improved the ability of analyzing and solving problems.2.The three primary problems that plague interns are the shortage of Chinese knowledge and a high teaching management capability,failure to connect theory and practice.3.International students have a high evaluation of interns but at the same time they hold that teachers should reasonably adjust teaching methods and homework so that they can keep up with course schedule.4.Most of the international students held interns should organize more classroom activities make them easier to understand Chinese and cultivate the communicative ability.According to the survey,the author finds some defects of the intern plan of the department and propose advice from the reality of university and students for the department’s reference.
