After the opium war, with the western medicine gradually spread in China, more and more Chinese women’s career in modern medicine. Their medical practitioners and traditional women inevitably conflict and collision happened. At the same time, the state of medical and health care construction and the need of practicing rights for women, and it is necessary to carry out female doctor specification. After the establishment of the republic of China, the northern government to regulate medical staff and management, but because of political unrest, the measures taken by the end to little effect. After nanking nationgal government was established in1927, nanking national government started to develop, standardize and improve the medical and health cause, also strengthen the management of women practice accordingly. Government management of the female medical policy mainly reflects in: first, to the old woman medical ban and restrictions, such as restrictions on women in traditional Chinese medicine, the midwife to ban and modification; Secondly, for the new specification and characterization of the female career in western medicine, such as the management of the western medicine, the cultivation of female nurses and midwives shape, etc. In order to implement the specific management policies of the government on the one hand, has issued a series of related laws and regulations, such as the nurses ordinance,"interim measures for the management midwife","byelaw of midwives, etc., on female doctor qualification, licenses issued, registration, and develop education for specification, on the other hand, the government has successively set up medical education committee, midwifery education committee and the nurse education committee and other medical and health administrative institutions, to promote women related medical laws and regulations. It promulgated a series of policy and carry out standard women practice, practice to ensure women’s rights and interests, promote the development of the medical and health undertakings. However, affected by domestic political instability, financial difficulties, lack of talents and the influence of such factors as the lack of government regulation, the policy is insufficient, such as the blind pursuit of western medicine, neglect of traditional Chinese medicine, such as unbalanced development between urban and rural areas. These experiences and lessons, and can provide reference for the current health care reform in China.
