Chinese character have play a great put in the long history and culture. Since itsinception, Chinese characters are always accompanied by the development process ofthe Han nationality culture. Not only does it play the functions of languagecommunication, but also forms the unique characteristics and internal structure ofideographic, accumulating rich cultural heritage. Therefore, the characters creationreflects the unique culture of the Han nationality. Characters often reflects a culturalsociety, so it already has the functions of cultural symbols, since its creation.Language-specific characters always has a close connection with the specific culturalenvironment. Therefore, difficulties encountered by students in learning Chinesecharacters is not just the knowledge of Chinese characters themselves, but its shape,sound and meaning of the relevant cultural background. Hence, in the teaching ofChinese characters, educators should focus on the introduction of the relevant culturalbackground, in order for foreign students to have a better understanding of Chinesecharacters, thus having a better grasp of Chinese characters, then further raisesChinese proficiency. The teachings of Chinese character culture by using thefollowing methods, such as (1)the analysis of Chinese character structures, inparticular the form and structure of related ancient text;(2) exploration of the meaningof the ancient culture;(3) as well as understanding the cultural evolution can play asignificant role in teaching Chinese character culture to foreign students.
