Analysis Ink Element In The Design Of Books

Ink element is one of Chinese traditional culture and accumulation of long Chinese historicalculture. Ink elements with the Chinese traditional cultural spirit are a representative of theChinese value orientation and aesthetic orientation. Ink element is a cultural symbol of China.Integrating the ink element in book design is carrying forward Chinese culture and inheritance.At the same time, book designers are supposed to practice “localization” and “globalization” inthe creation in book design.“Localization” is one of the focuses in the design subjects.The analysis of ink element in the design of books has to study thoroughly and certain howto integrate the ink element into the design of books, pay attention to criterion of the formserving the content as well. To analyze the implication and figurative elements in the Chineseink, it is necessary to find ink symbol in Chinese national culture, for example, pen and inkvisual system, plane composition, artistic performance, in order to research the application ofink element in the books design. This paper analyzes the today book designers, demonstration,and combined with their own practice.The combination of book design and the ink element is a reflection of Chinese culture. In"globalized" today, the cultural fusion make our book designer pay great attention to theirnative culture and integrate the Chinese characteristics in the design, instead of completely"coping" western design, in order to establish our local design concept and style, inheritand carry forward the Chinese culture.
