Modern Chinese synonym compounds refer to two synonymous or nearly word-formation components of side-by-side two-syllable compound words. After an analysis of the synonymy compound in the "Chinese proficiency vocabulary and grade outline Chinese characters"647synonymous compound verbs are found out of1041synonymous compound words, which clearly indicates the highly propotion of synonymous compound verbs.This paper puts synonymous compounds containing the same morphemes in the "Chinese proficiency vocabulary and grade outline Chinese characters"(after the "outline" for short) as the research object and has a statistic of all synonymous compound verbs distributing in four different levels.The paper divides these words which contain the same morphemes into295groups on the basis of different levels. At the same time, some synonymous compound verbs containing the same morphemes,which often confuse international students, are picked out by looking for HSK dynamic composition corpus.Three different questionares are designed according to diffrent levels of words in the"Chinese proficiency vocabulary and grade outline Chinese characters" and students in pirmary, intermediate and advanced stages, hoping to investigate the possibe confusion situation when those Chinse learners whose mother tontue is not Chinese use synonymous compound verbs containing the same morphemes and have a systemic anlysis on teaching Chinese as a foreign language.After an anlysis of those effective questionares, it comes to the conlusion that the confusion use of synonymous compound verbs containing the same morphemes by Chinese learners whose mother tontue is not Chinese is becoause they don’t have a comprehensive understanding of the words which includes words meaning, color meaning and grammatical meaning and are not familar with the words collocation.The paper puts forward pratical teaching strategies after having an analysis of errors and reasons when non-native Chinese learners use Chinese in real life. When differentiating synonymous compound verbs, antonyms distinguish method, the morpheme analysis method, comparison method, or semantic collocation method can be used according to different study situations. At the same time, while teaching Chinese as a foreign language, we should combine the context and pay more attention to the effect of morpheme. At last, the author hopes that this paper can be useful in the research of synonymous compound verbs containing the same morphemes and improving students’study and use efficiency.
