Supported by Newmark’s Communicative TranslationTheory, this report discusses solutions to long sentences in informative text translationand other translation methods as conversion, amplification and omission used in suchtexts. When translating informative texts the translator is required to conform to targetreaders’ language cognition system, and use a combination of translation techniquesin order to deliver source text information accurately.
