The language environment plays an important role in language acquisition. The language environment is divided into classroom environment and social environment using target language. As the formal way of learning language,the input in classroom environment is systematic and organized. But it can not provide real communication scene for learners. The target language environment is also called the natural acquisition environment,it refers to the social environment outside of the classroom.Language inputing is spontaneous, understandable and disorder. In terms of language inputting, natural language resources providing and the opportunity of using language, the target language environment has the superiority of making full and effective use of the target language environment. It has extremely important significance for teaching and learning Chinese.With the increase in the number of international students who come to China to learn Chinese in recent years, the utilization of the target language environment of international students in China is being researched. American Program in China, it’s special teaching modes attract the notice of the circles of Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language.This paper takes the American Program in China for example, from the Angle of the project (teachers) and the perspective of students, exploring how to make full and effective use of the target language in Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language.This Paper comprises five parts as follows.Chapter One indicates the purpose, meaning of this research and reviews relevant foreign language teaching modes and introduces the research about the language envir-onment.Chapter Two investigates and analyses the utilization of the target language environment in the perspective of teachers and the program. From the creating of the Chinese language environment, the utilization of human resources, time resources and space resources, and organization of language practice activities,we come to the conclusion.Chapter Three investigates and analyses the utilization of the target language environment in the perspective of students and Analysis the factors that influence the students’ utilization of target language environment.Chapter Four gives a conclusion to the advantage and disadvantage of the American Program in China in utilization of the target language environment through the comparision with the Chinese language program of studies in most colleges and universities. Thought the comparision, we find that the program make full of the communicative language environment. In order to put forward some good suggestions to the Chinese language program of studies in most colleges and universities.Chapter Five is the conclusion and the assumption of the continued research.
