In Mandarin Chinese, the dynamic auxiliary “le(了)”is frequently used. Never the less,the usage of “le(了)”is quite complicated.“New Practical Chinese Textbook” and “Boya Chinese” are two major comprehensiveElementary Chinese textbooks. In this paper, choreography of the dynamic auxiliary“le(了)”in these two teaching materials is investigated. From the point of contrast theauthor did an overall introduction of the two textbooks involving syntactic form, functionelaboration, exercises and reproduction of the dynamic auxiliary “le(了)”, concluding thatthe two different materials have their own merits, and also their own shortcomings. Bycomparison of the above-mentioned comprehensive Elementary Chinese textbooks, theauthor tries to extract their respective merits in compilation. On this basis, combined withobservations during actual teaching experience and students’ acceptance, the authorpresents some suggestions for compilation of comprehensive elementary Chinesetextbooks concerning interpretation, function elaboration, exercises and reproduction of thedynamic auxiliary “le(了)”. This study hopes to be helpful for perfecting the compilationof TCSL materials. |
