Research On Africans Of The Guangzhou Area From The Perspective Of Sino-African Relations

China and Africa have a long history of friendship and a solid foundation. China has always been in line with the spirit of sincere friendship, equality and mutual benefit, and common development concept to develop its relations with Africa. For more than half a century, the two sides’s political ties have been close, high-level visits and personnel exchanges have been frequent,economic and trade relations have developed rapidly.It is very based on this background, Guangzhou attracts a large number of Africans engaging in business activities and students in studying with its unique geographical and economic advantages.The purpose of this thesis is to explore and study the Africans in Guangzhou in the scope of Sino-African relations. We find that they act as a catalyst for the development of China-Africa trade, disseminator of cultural diversification, and builder of their own image through field research and in-depth interviews. Their business activities have favorable factors, while also facing challenges and constraints. We should be fully aware of and recognize these contributions brought by Africans in Guangzhou, minimize the challenges, and increase their social identity,so that they can play a significant role as linking bridge in the process of Sino-African social—conomic—ultural exchange and integration, which further promotes the sustainable and steady development of the Sino-African Relations.
