Research On General Situation Of Government Affairs Micro-blog Of Chongqing

In recent years, media has undergone a tremendous change with the developmentof informatization and digitalization skills. Micro-blog comes to emerge as a major typeof social media, featuring instantaneity, interactivity, transparency and “micro-structure”skills. It develops explosively these years and becomes an arena for most Netizens toexpress their opinions. Micro-blog turns out to be so influential a platform of postinginformation and interaction that many government organizations as well as officers joinin to use it as an effective tool to guide public opinions and strengthen interaction withcitizens. The author of this thesis focuses on the study of the government affairsmicro-blog of Chongqing. Through investigation and data-analysis of it, I intend topoint out the current problems in it and propose strategies on how to make it a realinteractive media between governmental departments, officers and citizens. This thesisconsists of four parts:The first part is a brief introduction of the government affairs micro-blog ofChongqing government. This part offers the readers of this thesis the definition,classification of it and explores its positive role from the perspective of communication.The second part discusses the general situation of government affairs micro-blog ofChongqing. First, the author introduces the development history and ranking of them.Then, the author makes a data analysis of government agencies’ micro-blog as well asmicro-blog of public servants, in terms of department distribution, area distribution,follower number and frequency of use. Finally, based on the data analysis, the authorsums up the characteristics presented during the development history of governmentaffairs micro-blog of Chongqing.The third part summarizes the problems occurred in the development of Chongqinggovernment affairs micro-blog. Although they have made a great leap in just two years,quite a few problems remain to be solved, such as lack of effective interaction withcommon people, incomplete system, and so forth.The fourth part, on the basis of analysis above, comes up with the developmentstrategy in the future, which includes training of professional team for micro-blogoperation and maintenance, system development, and strengthening the ability to copewith public opinion.
