Under the era background of peace and development, the international political and economic situation are changing all the time, the rapid development of China’s Comprehensive National Strength, has caused some foreign countries attached great importance to. The international and domestic environment that China now facing is relatively poor:problem of the "Huang Yan" island,"Diao Yu" crisis as well as the South China Sea territorial disputes, such as territorial disputes frequent troubles in China."China threat theory" and so on political speech is followed, which cause serious damage to the domestic and foreign affairs and territorial security state. For this serious situation, Chinese cannot treat STH lightly; our country must try to improve the economic strength in strengthening of national defense forces but also imperative. Key in addition to strengthen the defense forces for weapon equipment, the strengthening of the military technology and other hard power, more to the point or provide the defense consciousness of the party, the army and people of all nationalities and crisis consciousness, is also be prepared to the national defense of political mobilization in peacetime.Improve the political mobilization mechanism of national defense in peacetime can enhance domestic army-people unity and international military cooperation, perfect our country’s overall defense mobilization work mechanism, promote the further development of revolution in military affairs with Chinese characteristics. This research is devoted to the research on political mobilization of the national political mobilization mechanism of national defense existing problems, reasons and countermeasures. Based on the concept of scientific development theory and the theory of the party’s national defense and army building theory, the concepts, characteristics, and functions of the political mobilization mechanism of national defense in peacetime is defined. The research chooses Hunan military areas for case analysis, in order to interpret the status of the political mobilization mechanism of national defense in peacetime. Through the analysis, this study found that due to the complex challenges of international and domestic environment, leading to the current political mobilization mechanism of national defense in peacetime work coordination was in a low degree, the corresponding of political mobilization mechanism of national defense in the imperfection of the laws and regulations, the ways of political mobilization mechanism of national defense are old. In addition, this study by analyzing the foreign defense of political mobilization in peacetime, the main experience and enlightenment to our country related work.
