The Quantitative Research On Rural Resident’s Livelihood In Ningxia

People’s livelihood is related with every field of people’s daily life, reflected in employment, income, social security, culture, education, health care, transportation, resources and environment. In2012, Hu Jintao emphasis:in order to strengthen social construction, we must be focused on protecting and improving people’s livelihood, solve the problems that the most realistic problem, the most direct and the most concerned about. effort to make all the people obtain and enjoy what they need in order to live a better life. According to the guideline of the18th CPC national congress, the government of Ningxia has made contributions to improving people’s livelihood, however, because People’s livelihood is very wide, there will be a lot of difficult to improve people’s livelihood.Based on the background above, this article would make the quantitative research on rural resident’s livelihood in Ningxia. The thesis is composed of following six parts.The first part is the introduction, which introduces the background, the purpose, the significance, research ideas and methods, it also systemically summaries the research about People’s livelihood in China and foreign countries. The second part classifies People’s livelihood issues, shows us definition of people’s livelihood, finds out how to build the index system of farmers’ livelihood. The third part carries on the analysis about the present economic situation and social development of Ningxia rural areas, which helps to build the index system of Ningxia rural people’s livelihood. The fourth part selects a number of indicators from some people’s livelihood fields, such as education, employment, income, health care, social security and environment, then combines with realistic condition of Ningxia rural to establish index system of the people’s livelihood issues. The fifth part is quantitative analysis. First, it uses the method of statistical index to standardize every index. Then, it chooses the target of constructing an overall well-off society as the actual value of the people’s livelihood indexes, to make an evaluation for rural resident’s livelihood from2006to2011. The sixth part is countermeasures and advices about improving the People’s livelihood in Ningxia rural areas.
