In recent years, with the impetus of the national policy and the joint effortsof the electric power enterprise, power network developed very quickly in ourcountry. But with the development of society, the world is facing a seriousproblem of energy shortage and economic development. Electric power industryis the basis of the energy industry, along with the user requirement of the powersupply reliability increasing, as a result, State Grid is facing a great challenge ofthe safe operation and downsizing to improve efficiency. As data source andperform terminal of State Grid, safety running of primary equipment in thesubstation plays a very important role. With the continuous development andprogress of integrated automation technology, traditional substation secondarysystem has been replaced or updated by the substation integrated automationsystem. To promote the building of automatic monitoring system of transformersubstation will be a trend in the development of power system.This paper based on the background of the project of substation reformation,a safe, efficient, and stable integrated automation monitoring system is bedesigned to achieve substation primary equipment monitoring,"fourremote"(remote measuring, remote signaling, remote adjustment, and remotecontrol), five defense, protection and alarm functions. According to the analysisof the structure of traditional substation system, the structure of integratedautomation system hardware design which contains the server, monitoringcomputer, communication equipment, and the composition of the hardware siteIED etc is present and selection of hardware to the server is completed. Insoftware design human-machine interaction is applied which be produced by theShenzhen Pecstar3.0of a power company to achieve the implementation ofsubstation equipment monitoring and control of real-time, historical data recordsand inquiries, accident automatic alarm and protection actions, statementsautomatic data generation and storage, real-time curve analysis and otherfunctions. Modbus-RTU, Ethernet and other transport protocols are used inlower machine to achieve the automation of all devices within the substationoperation. The switching and analog communication manager via of the intelligent monitoring device, measurement and control device, protectiondevice through the protocol upload to station level equipment.After completed hardware and software design as well as a series parametertuning of integrated automation system, the whole control system can be singlemachine debugging, and connected-acting debugging, commissioning and trialoperation show that the design of substation integrated automation system canbe safe, convenient, efficient and stable distribution work, achieved the desiredgoal.
