Objective:Through systematic observation, comparative analysis of traditional Chinese medicine to maintain the treatment of patients with advanced colorectal cancer progression-free survival time, immune function, and the patients’quality of life, evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine to maintain treatment efficacy in patients with advanced colorectal cancer and application advantages; maintenance therapy with Xeloda and correlation analysis, exploring Chinese medicine to maintain efficacy-related factors, so as maintenance therapy in patients with advanced colorectal cancer Chinese medicine application provides clinical research evidence. Methods:The clinical data in this study were derived from Beijing Chinese Medicine Hospital, WangjingHospital oncology ward and outpatient, according to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, the condition under control after chemotherapy (CR/PR/SD) and met the study criteria patients were randomly divided into the medicine according to the computer group, Xeloda group andTCM group were applied in maintenance therapy, recording its way through prospective studies information and treatment status, and patient follow-up, patients with disease progression through time (TTP), immune function and quality of life(symptom scores, Karnofsky score) jointly evaluate the efficacy of maintenance therapy of TCM, and related factors. Results:Study included a total of150patients meet the criteria, which TCM group75cases,75cases of Xeloda. In contrast to the baseline data of the study, two groups of patients regardless of sex, age, tumor location, degree ofdifferentiation, metastaticsites, whether surgery, etc. There were not statistically differentbetween the two groups were comparable. The analysis shows that when the end of the study, median TTP medicine group was7months, Xeloda median TTP was5months,compared the two groups the difference was statistically difference (P=0.012<0.05);improvements in immune function, the TCM group after treatment NK cells and CD4+/CD8+ratio compared with pre-treatment group improved(P<0.05).Xeloda group showed no significant difference before and after treatment, traditional Chinese medicine group than in the Xeloda group changes in immune function after treatment difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); while in the quality of life, traditional Chinese medicine group than in Xeloda groups can significantly improve patients’symptom scores, Karnofsky score, thereby improving the quality of life of patients, the differences were statistically significant differences (P<0.01).By Binary Logistic regression analysis found that the relevant factors, and baseline data of each group TTP no significant correlation. Conclusion:Through this study found that, with the intervention of traditional Chinese medicine as a factor in the existing maintenance treatment of advanced colorectal colorectal cancer, the patients get better short-term effect after the treatment, such as improved quality of life, enhance immunity, forward effect can be observed in patients with TTP has been extended, and the pure traditional Chinese medicine joint maintenance treatment of patients with advanced colorectal cancer has broad applicability.
