At the beginning of the21st century, since the principle of "three-layer management operated by the school, the local and the national government" was put forward in the curriculum reform, the development of the local art curriculum resources has become a most concerned research subject between art teachers around the country. As there existing kinds of differences in types, amount, state of existence, conformation&composition etc. among different regions, every place has its own characteristics in many fields such as natural resources, social-culture resources. Taiyuan’s long history and deep cultural foundation provides a unique condition for the development and utilization of art curriculum resource. The author is well prepared on previous studies to propose the strategies and research methods of case on development and utilization, regarding Taiyuan city’s development and utilization of local art curriculum resource as the research focus.In the first two part, based on the definition of "resources" and so on, the author summarized and classified for the Taiyuan’s local art resource, and introduced the importance of importing Taiyuan’s local art resource into curriculum. We’ve learned about Taiyuan city’s status of Art Education and curriculum according to survey and interviews, aim to find out the problems in the development and utilization of resources and put forward relevant recommendations.In the third part, according to the problems we’ve found before, the author put forward the principle, pattern and specific steps to the development and utilization of Taiyuan’s local art curriculum resource.In the last part, the author took The Jin Memorial Temple of Taiyuan as an example, started a research on teaching-practice based on related theoretical studies and envisagement, which is regarding "Jin culture" as the theme, and designed a five step teaching-links. These teaching-links are tightly stuck together with each other, to show the main role of the students in the class. The result coming soon through this experiment that the development and utilization of Taiyuan’s local art resources in the curriculum can effectively enhance students’ love of Art while improving the art comprehensive exploration-ability and better training their hometown emotion at the same time.A perfect research should be a harmonious combination and a spiral development of a theory research, practice-research and a self-reflection. Further on, the author will do more related research about this problem to make more progress in the area.
