Human beings and animals have a lot of ways to feel the world,but the most important wayis visual behavior.As early as1967,Terry Don La believed that83%human external informationis obtained through visual.Such important behavior has its own group in our huge and greatlanguage.It is just what we are going to study--the visual behavior verbs.From the Angle oflexicology,Visual behavior verbs is a small group of verbs that divided according to themeaning of words.Although Chinese scholars researched on this small group of verbs is verylate, now the results are such as bamboo shoots after a spring rain to show out.The study on thissmall group of words, also provides a great help in our teaching of Chinese as a foreignlanguage.Based on large collection of study, although the application of visual behavior verbsused very widely, the study on it is still relatively small, especially in teaching Chinese as aforeign language, also did not cause enough attention.Therefore, based on the ontological studyof visual behavior verbs, the writer will give a detailed study of the distribution of visualbehavior verbs in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.And according to some students errors,summarize the reasons for errors, learning strategies and corresponding teaching strategies forstudents and the teacher.The introduction part mainly introduces the research background, purpose, significance,tasks and major theory and methods.The next part of thesis is divided into four chapters: the first chapter is the study ofChinese visual behavior verbs.This part analyzed and summarized the research of define andsyntactic and semantic aspects of this class of verbs.The second chapter is the analysis of visualbehavior verbs in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This part is carried out a research ofvisual verbs selected from rach level of vocabulary of "Chinese words and Chinese characterssyllabus",and also a research about Reading and Spoken Chinese materials.The third partinclude the selection of the visual behavior verbs to a study sample,the random selection of thevisual behavior verbs errors from "HSK dynamic composition corpus",the analysis of types ofthose errors and their cause.In the fourth part,the author suggests learning strategies to a studentand teaching strategies to the teacher based on the analysis of the causes of errors made in thelast chapter. The last part is the conclusion part.This part summarized the research on theory, methodand conclusion of thesis,and pointed out the shortcomings in the research.In short, the study of the modern Chinese visual behavior verbs is mainly a summary ofprevious studies, this paper focuses on the teaching and research of visual behavior verbs inteaching Chinese as a foreign language. I hope that this paper will be to a certain role inpromoting the quality of teaching Chinese as a second language.
