With the development of society, the requirements of the public service are gradually increasing. The public service staff is the carrier of the government administration. The results of the government administration are mainly reflected through the work of public service staffs. Public service staffs job satisfaction directly affects the enthusiasm and initiative of public service’s staff in daily work. Therefore, the Public service staff job satisfaction is becoming the key elements of academic research. This paper studies the job satisfaction of public service staff in Wuxi. It researches civil service staff s job satisfaction situation and makes an analysis of the various factors that affect public service staffs job satisfaction throughout questionnaire. With the results of the analysis the paper puts specific measures to reduce the civil service dissatisfaction at work and improve the civil service staff s job satisfaction.On the basis of the motivation theory of human resources, the paper studies the theory of hierarchy of needs, theory of two-factor, theory of equity and theory of expectation. These theories play the guiding role for civil service staff’s satisfaction theory. From the perspective of the administrative culture differences in public service staff administrative environment between domestic and foreign, the paper indicates differences in value orientation, behavior orientation and the job difficulty of enterprise employees and public service staff as well as work stability, salaries and other aspects of cognitive differences. According to the basis of theoretical studies, the paper combines theories with the current situation and establishes public service staff’s satisfaction measure system. The system includes gender, age, education, work experience and promotion, boss, benefits, performance incentives, operating procedures, co-workers, nature of work and communication and exchange-based factor variables.The paper makes empirical questionnaire about Wuxi public service staff’s satisfaction. It collects the data and uses principal component analysis to analyze questionnaire survey results to verify the current index systemFinally, according to the results of the questionnaire, paper provides countermeasures and suggestions to enhance the Wuxi municipal government public service staff’s satisfaction. The author suggests that these are three ways to improve the public service staff’s satisfaction by enhancing public service staff spiritual realm, building a fair system platform for civil service staff and improving resources configuration for public service staff.
