Research On The Community Autonomy Development Under The Sight Of "community Of Free Individuals" Of Marx

The first20years of the21st century witness an important period embracinggreat strategies and opportunities for China. Meanwhile, it is also a critical period forthe rapid development of social transformation of urbanization. Consequently, socialconstruction is faced with arduous tasks. Social development is an important part ofthe overall layout of the socialism with Chinese characteristics, and communitybuilding is the basic task of the social construction. To realize the healthy and sounddevelopment of community building is to focus on the autonomous development ofcommunity. Community self-government is a form of democracy of grassroots wherecommunity residents directly manage social grassroots public affairs in accordancewith law. It is also the objective demand for people to be in power and an importantmeasure to achieve coordinated economic and social development to improve theliving standards of the masses. It is of great significance for the reform of democraticmanagement system of grassroots and promoting to build a harmonious society. It hasbeen put forward in the17th National Congress of the CPC that "Develop urban andrural communities into the communities with orderly management, perfect service,peace", providing institutional guarantee for the cultivating of autonomouscommunity. However, as a new form of community building, communityself-government is faced with the plight of the survival and development. Therefore,to analyze the causes of its plight and to explore the scientific and feasible path ofdevelopment became the problems to be solved to promote community development.The thesis intends to develop a systematic analysis of the issue of communityself-government, starting from the perspective of "Community of Free Individuals"and under the combination with the reality of community autonomous construction."Community of Free Individuals" was a scientific assumption and a socialblueprint of Marx on future communist society, and it was another name ofcommunism which was once seen by Engles as the essential feature of new era offuture society. In this society, there is abundant material wealth, and the means of production is owned by the entire society. People can work according to theirabilities and can get the allocated material as needed, and people will manage socialaffairs together by discarding class, political power, and political party to the dust ofhistory. As a result, each people can develop fully and freely, and the freedevelopment of each people conditions and complements that of other members ofsociety. The "Community of Free Individuals" is not likely to become a reality for along time in the future due to its realization conditions. However, Marx’s thinking onfuture society touches on certain problems which accord with the realities of currentChinese society especially the development status of autonomy construction ofcommunity. Therefore, it is essential to re-interpret the thought of "Community ofFree Individuals" to learn lessons from negative factors affecting autonomyconstruction of community and to guide the community towards harmonious andhealthy development.This thesis will make systematic analysis and deep exploration of the importanttreasure of "Community of Free Individuals" in Marxism, and then it goes further tomake researches on general concept and theory of community autonomy. Thefollowing part is key to the thesis as it makes deep analysis of the internal relationsbetween the thought of Marx’s "Community of Free Individuals" and communityautonomy and discusses the realistic significance of the thought of "Community ofFree Individuals" on current community’s autonomy construction. On the basis oftheoretical analysis and under the guidance of the thought of "Community of FreeIndividuals", it makes analysis of various predicaments existing in the autonomyconstruction of Chinese community to summarize the development demands inautonomy construction of the community. Last, the thesis proposes, guided by Marx’s"Community of Free Individuals", a construction path of community autonomy that issuited to China’s national conditions.
