Since2008, a new situation in cross-straits relations have shown "great communication, great cooperation and great development". However, compared to the rapid development of cross-straits cultural relations and the increasing thermal envelope of cross-straits economic relations, cross-straits exchanges in the military field is relatively limited. Due to historical and political reasons, the accumulation of trust between the two sides is still not enough, so In the military field, the interaction of the two sides are still many obstacles. In the case of the cross-straits military mutual trust issues yet to officially launch the dialogue, retired generals exchanges become the main content areas of cross-straits military exchanges. Through various forms of interaction, cross-straits retired generals has been to create a good atmosphere about the formal dialogue in the field of cross-straits military, and build a series of discussions and dialogue reference platform. In addition, they analyze the difficulties and obstacles that currently exist in cross-straits military exchanges, and propose many constructive proposals. Overall, retired generals exchanges have had a great impact between the two sides social.This paper describes the case of cross-straits military exchanges and building of military mutual trust mechanism, and collates major cross-straits retired generals exchanges in the military field in recent years. Then it proposes the research hypothesis that cross-straits retired generals exchanges will be helpful to the building of cross-straits military mutual trust. Based on the concept of constructivist theory and identity, by empirical analysis method, it elaborates the influence and role of cross-straits retired generals exchanges to build cross-straits military mutual trust from four aspects of deconstructing the concept of military hostility, reshaping the concept of military peace, building the identity of Chinese Soldiers and agreeing the identity of Chinese People. By systematically demonstrating the relationship between the independent variable of cross-straits retired generals exchanges and the dependent variable of Concept of Peace&Chinese Identity, it concluded that cross-straits retired generals exchanges will be helpful to the building of cross-straits military mutual trust. Finally, based on the results of this study, puts forward the idea of military mutual trust mechanism and countermeasure and suggestion for further strengthening cross-straits military exchanges.
