City which is in promoting economic and social development, raising people’s livingstandards at the same time, also caused a series of problems, the city traffic problem is oneof the most difficult. The improve of urban population, the expansion of city space causedby the most of the single center circle type development, more distance between the cityland, especially residential land and public space. It will produce a large, long distancecommuting. Traffic strategic in urban development is extremely important, a convenient,efficient and smooth transportation system is not only an important guarantee ofsustainable urban development, but also an important symbol of the level of urbanmodernization. Traffic is a major factor on the vital interests of the people’s livelihood, andevery big city generally encountered problems. Based on the above analysis, the goal ofthis research is： sustainable urban transport development concept as a guide, in-depthanalysis of the basis various elements of the traffic, views from the full range of cityzoning, urban transportation and public resources, point out suitable for China urbanmorphology traffic; and in-depth study on the evolution of the successful experience offoreign traffic. In order to achieve the sustainable development of urban transportation, ithas universal significance to build urban transport structure which is suitable for China.
