Atpresent, Enshi Prefecture People’s mediation system to promote the smooth, perfectmechanism, professional regulation commission building shape and fruitfuldevelopment of people’s mediation work. But Enshi people’s mediation system still hassome problems: the mediation organization but not perfect, lack, business training andfunding of mediation team quality to be improved, unable to play a leading role in themultipartite mediation mechanism. At the same time, Enshi folk disputes with sharp,mass, complexity, long-term and seasonal characteristics, and the contradictions anddisputes mainly land forest disputes, marriage and family disputes, neighborhooddisputes, disputes mediation methods varied, with court mediation, the mediation, themediation, the mediation linkage, Tai Chi mediation and traced mediation method.Third, in view of the above characteristics of ethnic minority area of Enshi Prefecture,and puts forward the countermeasures to improve the people’s mediation system inminority areas.
