A Probe Into The Internet Supervision Mechanism In Combating Current Corruption In China

Corruption is a worldwide problem. Since the ancient times, all nations have been exploring effective approaches to corruption. Current rapid development of Internet brings about a large internet population. By the end of2013Internet users in China has exceeded600million, paving a new way to combat corruption. A new mode of supervising corruption based on Internet technology has developed accordingly. In recent years, there have been many cases of combating corruption through the network supervision mechanism, which become the new hot spot. The network supervision with its advantages of high efficiency, low cost or risk, transparency and efficient interaction, will become a very effective way to control corruption. However, the current research about the supervision mechanism via network is inadequate.This article first defines the basic concept of network supervision, governance and corruption. Based on power restriction theory and good governance theory, the provisions of the constitution and the current situation, this article analyses the development, the explicit characteristics, and the advantages of Chinese network supervision. It probes into the efficient ways to deal with corruption through network supervision. The article also finds out the existing problems and the basis of the problems. It elaborates the reasons of the problems of network supervision and the necessity of implementation. The article points out by establishing and perfecting the legal system, strengthening the construction of systems and mechanisms, and integrating network supervision in the anti-corruption mechanism, the network will become more legalized, standardized and institutionalized. By perfecting the government information publicity and the guiding role of traditional media, improving the quality of the netizens, strengthening technological innovation and industry regulations, improving the accuracy of information, an effective link between network and all kinds of supervision will be achieved. In order to form a joint power to handle corruption effectively, the traditional media should be connected with network supervision mechanism to provide guidance for government of different levels and to provide powerful guarantee for the realization of the harmonious society.
