The Application Of Industrial Engineering In Management Of College Societies

With rapid development of the economy in our country, from2000years collegesbegan to expand themselves. Stop to the end of year2011,the number of students incolleges of our country had increased to23,085,000.With the rapid expand of colleges,college societies have become to an particular part of campus culture. By taking partin kinds of societies, college students could join in activities organized by societies,and participate in establishment and management of societies. So, not only couldstudents enrich their spare time and cultivate colorful interests, but also broaden socialnetworks, improve interpersonal skills, ability of organization and coordination so asto cultivate essential ability when they go to work after graduation.During people daily study, life and work, Industrial Engineering existseverywhere. It has been used widely to Information, Finance, Logistic, Medical care,National Defense and many other areas, especially it solves many hard problems incollege education. Applying Industrial Engineering in management of collegesocieties could save management cost, improve work efficiency and improvesubjective initiative and comprehensive ability of college students, so management ofcollege societies could be more professional. In the light of problems existed incollege societies, this paper used many theories of Industrial Engineering andapproves some advices, and used example of anniversary activity to illustrate thatIndustrial Engineering and its relevant theories could be well used in college societiesso as to development of college societies and establishment of campus culture.At first, this paper analyses the research background and present research stationat home and abroad, and introduces the meaning of SLP method,5S management,work research theory, Human Factor Engineering theory and ECRS. Then it analysisproblems of college societies and approves some advices. At last, it applies thesetheories about Industrial Engineering in the works of college societies, for example,using SLP method to arrange conference and using ECRS to optimize receptionprocedure of guest.
