After many transformations, probability and statistics have become the required courses of the High School Mathematics New Curriculum Standard. This standard’s newly orientation has made us comprehend the teaching significance of probability and statistics.This thesis, through questionnaire survey to some high school students and teachers, will analysis the following questions:1. Some teacher’s inherent teaching sense make them use permutation and combination to calculate probability only.2. Some teachers don’t pay attention to the teaching of the basic concepts and some students don’t pay attention to the learning of the basic concepts.3. The fault intuition to the probability in our daily life.4. Some teachers don’t have correct sense of students inherent cognition and knowledge.To solve these problems, this thesis will give the following suggestions:1. Teaches should grasp the difficulties in teaching probability and statistics, change teaching sense and optimize teaching methods.2. Teachers should enhance the connection of the successive teaching.3. Teachers should make open problems which comes from our daily life.4. Teachers should strengthen the research project to make students develop their application sense.In addition, teachers’ professional knowledge, teaching methods and teaching sense directly influence students’ learning and grasping of the knowledge. Therefore, teachers should also improve their teaching theory and enhance the study of professional knowledge.
