Elocution of Classical Chinese is an essential part of Chinese teaching. The differences between Classical Chinese and Modern Chinese have caused quite many difficulties in teaching, however, practices have proved that elocution teaching can effectively help students to learn Classical Chinese. The fact that naiveness and marureness both exist in the psychology of middle school students as well as spareness and richness in their life experiences has limited the efficiency of elocution teaching in Classical Chinese. Therefore, here comes the question:how to improve the strategy of elocution teaching in middle school students so that their reciting efficiency in Classical Chinese can be boosted? Based on current researches on elocution methodology and class management of elocution teaching, jointly with my own experiences in such teaching, I have done the research on interest cultivation, teacher’s demonstration and effectiveness consolidation in elocution teaching in Classical Chinese. The optimizing strategy of elocution teaching for middle students should at least include these following points:first, creating various methods to boost students’interests in Classical Chinese; secondly, teacher playing a key role in class demonstration and instruction; thirdly, consolidating students’reciting habits which are motivated by their interests during long period of teaching process.
