The teacher in civilian-run primary school and secondary school is a special group which is due to they cannot enjoy the same rights and treatments as the teachers in public school. They are the members of the school, but they cannot dedicate their talents and act as the master for development of the school. They have the important sense of basic education, when facing the inadequate security system, however, makes them insecure. This paper tries to discover and restore the living conditions of the Chinese teachers in civilian-run primary school and further analyzes the problems and reasons through the memories and teaching experiences of the researcher herself. This study deduces a general sense by presenting the natural living condition of a Chinese teacher. The special boarding management system in civilian-run primary school determines the different situation of Chinese teacher in it. All in all, in daily work, the Chinese teachers act as three roles: the first, they should be a teacher who must finish their teaching work. Then they should be a "half-mother" who not only need to manage the class, but also have to be responsible for the living of the students including taking care of their board and lodging, persuading them to pay tuition. At last, they have to be a tutor and do a part-time job on weekends or in holidays. The Chinese teacher’s living condition in civilian-run primary school is not so well. The first reason is the conflicts between the closed-off management and employment system for the teacher in the management of school. The closed-off management bounds their freedom, at the same time, the employment system is open for them to resign at any time. The second reason is the contradictions-between the status of the teachers and the students, because the survival of the civilian-run school depends on the source of students, so they put the students and their parents at the first place. The third reason is the dilemma of the teachers’outlook of the value. They not only live for the students but also want to realize their value and to be "a real person." That is to say, they are eager to live a meaningful live. Finally, they have insecurity. The teacher in civilian-run primary school faces the great pressure which includes without stability in the life and big mobility in the work results in a sense of insecurity and losing their spiritual home. There are several reasons leading to the situation:First, the prejudice from the society. They think teachers’work in civilian-run school means unstable and without security. Although the school tries to change and improve the treatment of the teacher, what is more, the government’s assistance is essential. Second, the school system is not perfect. There is no contract between the teacher and the school, so they can resign at any time. At the same time, the threshold entering into the school to be a teacher is low, some teachers even have not the teaching certificate. And last, the lack of the teachers’quality. The lack of their educational theory and the relevant professional knowledge makes them incompetent in work.
