It is the goal of the new curriculum reform to break through the shackles of the examination-oriented education and then to highlight the dominant position of students in teaching and to strengthen the students’subjective experience in learning process and then to cultivate the creative spirit and practice ability of students and finally to promote all-round development of students. In essence, experiencing teaching is consistent with the new curriculum reform. It has effectively emancipated the teachers and the students’ thoughts as well as promoting common development of both teachers and students.I conducted a survey about the situation of experiencing teaching method in W Junior Middle School in Suzhou. Through the investigation, I found that experiencing teaching method is of important significances to thought moral character class and explored the principles and ways of practice in teaching as well. However, at the same time, I also found there were lots of problems in experiencing teaching, outstanding performance is in the teachers’ teaching ideas and behaviors, grasp the experience type teaching ability and teaching evaluation ways.In order to solve the problems existing in the experiencing teaching and to give full play to the role of experiencing teaching in thought moral character class, combining with the results of the survey and the teaching practice of myself through past few years, I attempted to explore the principles and ways of practice of experiencing teaching in thought moral character class in W Junior Middle School in Suzhou. Here are the principles:To adhere to the principles of subjectivity, the life principle, the principles of problem and the overall principle; To implement experiencing teaching through experiencing language description, multimedia and interaction. In the end I proposed some measures to improve and strengthen experiencing teaching in thought moral character class. Here are the measures:To encourage teachers’ professional growth in order to raise the levels of experiencing teaching; To perfect teaching evaluation mode to strengthen the protection of experiencing teaching; To develop school-based resources to improve the effect of experiencing teaching.
