The teachers generally consider that the Chinese language quality of students haven’t been improvedmuch, what’s more, the students’ ability of the Chinese language rose slowly. They are mainly becausethey have problems with the ability of reading and writing since the reform of new curriculum carried out.That is to say, the teachers haven’t find out the proper teaching strategy about the reading and writing,causing the low effect on Chinese teaching; At the same time, the phenomena such as the time is little;thespeed is rather slow; the effect is bad as well as the effort spares too much are still exist.Reading and writing have close connection with each other and they can’t be divided separately,reading is the basis of the writing, which can also contribute to reading in turn, they both play an importantpart in Chinese teaching. Using reading to promote writing has been paid enough attention in traditionalteaching in China. The teaching of reading and writing has got further development after the reform of newcurriculum. This paper is carding the history of using reading to promote writing, and summarize thesituation of using reading to promote writing at present, trying to work out the relationship between them.Second, the paper focuses on the situation of reading and writing in the writer’s school, trying to make anresearch about the problems and reasons of using reading to promote writing by observing and reflecting,at the same time, The writer also comes up with some suggestions about the teaching of using reading topromote writing by combining the practical experience of her own.The essay consists of the following sections: I.Analysing the relationgship between reading and writingto present the idea that we should promote writing by reading and conbine reading and writingand to findpsycological evidence in theory and in practice. II. Find the reasons for the existing problems according tothe situation in reading and writing in our region. III.Presenting a series of methods based on my ownteaching experience,especially methods to encourage students to write out of their interest from the bottomof their hearts thus to have students write articles on the basis of their texts,that is, to write what they haveread in order to strengthen their abilities to think and draw conclusions.
