Community participation is not only an inexhaustible motive force to promote the benign development of the community, but also an important index to measure the community development. With the continuous development of society, economy and decreasing population growth rate and mortality in China, the aging of the population is becoming a trend. In the practice of community participation in city, the elderly has become an important group, which can not be ignored. Academia and government begin to pay more attention to the elderly community involvement, which can not only improve their own quality of life, but also contribute to the community and the development of the whole society. Therefore, how to improve the city elderly community participation level is an important issue to be settled urgently. This article is based on it.This paper begins with a literature review on the history of community, community participation, and proposes the concepts of community and community participation. The government, enterprises and institutions and non-governmental organizations are used as the object of community participation. Secondly, in Changchun, Jilin perspective, C、T two community elderly people surveyed,140questionnaires are used and132is valid by using random sampling method. On the basis of empirical study, combining quantitative and qualitative methods, we know the elderly community involvement status. Through the analysis of the current research problems of older persons in the community of Changchun, we analysis the influencing factors of the elderly community involvement from the macro, meso, micro level. Finally, this paper puts forward the ways to improve the participation level of the elderly in community.
