With the Social change, the era of the knowledge economy, the increasing complexity of school organization, the deepening of the reform of the new curriculum, bring about the increasingly fierce of schools’competition At the same time, it also makes the new requirements of the principals when face of such a complex environment. The play of the principals ’curriculum leadership and reform of the school curriculum has an important relationship, this concept was mentioned earliest by Professor Columbia University Harry·A·Paso in The Curriculum Leadership as Group Centered In these studies, the most representative was Sergiovanni, he argued that the curriculum leadership role should be to provide the necessary basic resources for members of the school, and thus to enrich the professional knowledge and professional skills of teachers, to promote exchanges between teachers observe and ultimately achieve for the excellence education goals.The purpose of this research is to define the concept of the principals’ curriculum leadership. By drawing on the latest researches at home and abroad about the principal’s curriculum leadership, the author thinks that the principals’ curriculum leadership as a curriculum leader principals in school, with the curriculum’s development process, through the resources of their own leadership, the quality and ability to influence and to lead all the members to enhance the quality of the courses, to promote the professional development of teachers, and to improve the quality of student learning leadership quality. Currently, facing by the principals diverse educational environment requested that principals should have some awareness of their own role, and this research offered the role of the theory as a perspective and the mission of the principals’ curriculum leadership system a comprehensive analysis, and ultimately provide an ideal state. But To general survey of the situation of the principals’curriculum leadership, although there are some good performance, but the awareness of principal’s roles, leadership knowledge, leadership skills, as well as the practicing are the widespread problems of all.The institutional factors, internal and external support are the three aspects of the environmental factors, which are the main reason of bring into play affect the principal curriculum leadership as well as the principals own factors. If the principals are able to update their own ideas, extensive knowledge of curriculum leadership to implement the empowerment and gain practical experience, the principals’ curriculum leadership will be effectively enhanced to some extent.
