China’s current population situation is grim, according to the National Bureau of statistics data show,2012birth population sex ratio is117.7, far higher than the regular pattern of biology which between103-107. The sex ratio of high operation will do harm to the future, reflected from some developed regions of high sex ratio situation, main factors that men are superior to women culture remains. To change people’s old ideas, is a big problem to the family planing work, in this field,the characteristics of social work make it have broad space to play. In this study, social work intervention in the transformation process of the birth concept of rural residents as the starting point,to explore the professional social work methods to establish correct concept of family health in helping rural childbearing age, improve the birth population sex ratio play a role, in order to solve our country is currently facing the birth sex ratio imbalance provides power, in order to promote the coordinated development of society.In this study, a village in the Wenzhou economic and Technological Development Zone as the research object, social worker get support and help in the process from the district family planning department. Social workers through a questionnaire on the village, grass-roots family planning workers of the survey and interviews, get the opinion that although in family planning high pressure policy environment, but because of the transformation of rural residents of the area of the fertility concept behind the change in the mode of production, leading to the high sex ratio at birth. Social workers selected people who got birth certificate in the last three months as service object, and use social work methods like group work activities to help them get birth information more comprehensive, establish equality ideas, then in fertility behavior selection more scientific, rational, and to choose a in fertility is facing many problems and difficulties of female as case counseling object, through interviews, to help establish a correct cognition, improve the ability of self-protection and problem solving. At the end of each group activities, through the questionnaire process and the effect of intervention was evaluated. Changes in the social work of rural residents in planning concept of intervention, to achieve the desired goal, have a more comprehensive understanding of the intervention objects on fertility knowledge, the value of life, policies and regulations, social environment.
