With the development and reform of education system of China, our higher education has made its way from elite education to mass education. The scale of university graduates grows every year. The number of college graduates from regular institutions of higher learning reached to6.99million in2013. This year, the number of university graduates is the largest since the establishment of our country. The sharp contradiction between supply and demand in the job market has brought brutal competition which gives rise to a situation where university students are facing with severe employment condition. Female college graduates, affected by the traditional gender perspective that women are weaker than men, are standing in a more worrying land in the job market. Thus, their employment has raised concern and become a social problem worthy of attention, affecting stability of social development and construction of harmonious society. This study is in feminist theory perspective, and adopts combined research methods of questionnaire and case interview, regarding senior female college students as analysis object, then analyzes the status and the influence factors of female college students gender discrimination in employment, and makes relevant suggestions. The study finds female college students gender discrimination in employment can be seen quite often, in terms of threshold discrimination, employment discrimination, discrimination on remuneration and career levels discrimination. Threshold discrimination means that employers refuse to offer females any chance in the Stage of publicity and screening CVs. Employment discrimination includes the demanding requirements in female college students’s outlooking, dating, marriage and fertility, keeping females as second choice, and hiring sex inequality. Discrimination on remuneration means that employers offer less salary and bonus to females than males in same status. Career levels discrimination is mainly showed as most female college students contract with private enterprise and mostly engage in auxiliary, service career. Female college students gender discrimination in employment is affected by legal and policy system of "dominance of men experience", the traditional gender concept, school education, the mass media’s "symbolic power" and female college students’s "conspiracy". On base of the above, this paper makes some suggestions on changing this situation.
