As educational informationization stepped into the period of "12th Five-Year", development of some areas have entered a plateau which has a main performance of high input but low output after the peak of infrastructure and resources construction. There was no fundamental change in the traditional teaching and learning methods. It failed to achieve depth integration of information technology and class teaching. People paid more attention to resources building than curriculum construction and focused on teachers rather than students. Also there were more changes in the class presentation than the methods of students’learning. And a significant improvement of teaching effects was not achieved with the development of educational informationization.Both the breakthrough-point and the foothold for the development of educational informatization are in classroom. Classroom teaching plays an important role in whether traditional teaching or informatization teaching. It is an inevitable choice to integrate information technology into classroom teaching and carry out informationization curriculum design for the purpose of promoting students’ development However, informationization curriculum design is restricted by the shortage of education funds investment and a high technical threshold for a long time. Moodle, a curriculum management system guided by advanced theory, open source, free, and with a low technology threshold, is an ideal platform to carry out informationization curriculum design.This paper made a depth study from the following aspects:research status quo, related theory analysis, platform installation, principle and process of informationization curriculum design. After that, the author puts forward a general pattern of informatization curriculum design based on Moodle platform. On this basis, this paper chooses unitl of go for it8th grade English book published by People’s Education Press to make an example informationization curriculum design in practice. This example tries to make every effort to fully utilize information technology means, transform traditional ways of teaching and learning, arouse students’enthusiasm of learning English and to improve their comprehensive language ability. This study will provide reference for those related to carryout informationization curriculum design. Also, it will have a profound effect to proceed information technology’s depth integration with classroom teaching and the development of educational informationization in our country.
