The report of the18th people’s congress raised a claim, which is trying hard to make good education to let people satisfied. Also, they raised a series of claims from the aspect of higher education intensive development. Those claims clearly show the way for the education reform.The main research direction of this article is how to apply PBL teaching method into Tai Chi class of professional sport major, using document-data method, questionnaire method, instruction experimentation, mathematical statistics and so on. A16class hour instruction experiment was made; it regarded professional Wushu students from class2012in School of Physical Education and Sport Science of Fujian Normal University. The result of study shows that,1. Combine PBL teaching method with professional Wushu course can not only increase students’ability to discover, analyze, and solve problems, but also good for students to combine their individual goal and group goal. It can also give students’ learning initiative to play and enhance their learning interest, cooperative consciousness and communication skills.2. During the16class hour instruction experiment, theoretical score of the experimental group is better than the control group, but the skill level of two groups have no notable difference.3. The chase experiment shows that, the students cultivated from PBL teaching method are better than the students cultivated from traditional teaching method in the ways of discover, analyze, and solve problems. PBL teaching method focuses on the question, and after the class, the comprehensive quality of the students can be highly raised, has important realistic meaning for the sports major teaching reform in university.
