Research On The Relationship Between Life Satisfaction And Parenting Style Of Taiwan College Students

This study is based on research in recent years at home and abroad, in Taiwan area, ProvidenceUniversity freshman to senior student as the research object, by using EMBU and adolescent lifesatisfaction scale family upbringing and life satisfaction of college students study. To explore therelationship between parenting style and life satisfaction of college students in Taiwan area from the twoaspects of the mother and father. After statistical analysis, the researchers have a more thoroughunderstanding of the university students’ family and the culture in Taiwan, but also through the analysis anddiscussion of some conclusions. Finally, put forward some suggestions aimed at different situation, hope tobe able to improve the role of bad parenting, improve students’ life satisfaction, and promote the sounddevelopment of College Students’ mental health.The conclusions of this paper are as follows:First, parental rearing styles of college students in the college students’ gender, whether there aresignificant differences only children and parents educational degree;Second, the life satisfaction of college students has a significant difference in gender, specialty, grade,family location and family income;Third, there was a significant positive correlation between the parenting style and students’ lifesatisfaction. Good parenting helps to enhance life satisfaction; on the contrary, the poor parental rearingstyles will reduce the degree of life satisfaction.
