Sleep disorders is a series of adverse reactions and abnormal psychology and behaviors during the individual sleep that due to the amount of sleep is not normal, or sleep quality is not high, even poor physical and mental state to trigger, including lack of sleep, decreased need for sleep, bite off more than sleep, could not sleep and disturbed sleep s, and sleep too much.Sleep disorders not only reflects the physiological condition and state of life, more importantly, it can reflect the individual’s mental health status. Due to the special nature of university level, students are facing with the arduous task of learning, the severe employment situation, the intense social competition, as well as complex into international relations and other issues, these issues will directly or indirectly affect the physical and mental health of college students.Sleep is a physiological activity, and sleep quality is affected by physical, psychological and social function factors. Physical and psychological health and good sleep quality are inseparable, sleep quality and sleep hygiene is one of the important measure of mental health, therefore, to understand the characteristics of college students sleep disorders, the level of its main factor helps colleges and universities targeted focus on the conduct healthy sleep of college students,. The psychological adjustment and psychological counseling can better help students to establish a correct concept of life, cultivate harmonious living conditions. In that case, it can prevent or reduce psychological problems, psychological disorders, and even ’psychological diseases.Sleep disorder is a concept put forward with the research and development of human sleep and it’s an important part of psychological research, it has been discussed on psychology books in the past. With the development of the study of sleep, especially the development and application of electroencephalogram (EEG), electromyography (EMG), eye movements the electroretinography (EOG). The essence of the concept of sleep has been more scientific understanding. In1953, the discovery of rapid eye movement sleep is the mark of sleep research concept and epoch-making progress. On sleep disorders research mostly starting from characterized by the occurrence of mechanism, the contents of sleep disorders. How to prevent and adaptation are analyzed and discussed. The major domestic and foreign institutions lab research gradually shift to the social empirical research, and a group scales with good reliability and validity have come out. Domestic sleep disorder research still remain in the theoretical stage, mainly in the field of medicine, sociology, physiology. From a psychological sense of college students sleep disorders research achieved some theoretical results, empirical research is stagnant, a qualitative description of the main research methods, such as observation, interviews, and a certain professional groups, such as the military, the elderly, the medical profession, sports professional. In addition, there’s little literature for the study of college students sleep disorders, some just for college students sleep disorders level of overall research and analysis, or explore a dimension of influencing factors and mental health of the sleep disorders. On the basis of previous studies this study use empirical research methods to explore the relationship between college students sleep disorders and mental health.In order to understand the relationship between the status of college students’ sleep disorders and mental health, the study use cluster random sampling method, both men and women, grade, where they are residing, whether only one child, the arts and sciences, and other factors were selected620students from Yangtze University with a questionnaire survey.572valid questionnaires retain527questionnaires after discounting answer is not complete and obvious answer to the law.85%efficiency of questionnaires recovery. At the end of the questionnaire, the researchers provide contact information so feel free to ask doubts. The study results are as follows:(1) Sleep is one of the important factors that affect mental health, Yangtze University students at the middle level on the overall quality of sleep, which is21.48%of the students sleep quality problems.(2) Male and female students in the PSQI total score difference is not obvious, but the the PSQI component comparison, sleep disorders, hypnotic drugs two component differences significant sleep disorders ingredients of female students than male students, male students hypnotic drug ingredients score higher than female students.(3) Arts and sciences college students in the PSQI total score difference is not obvious, but the the PSQI component comparison, sleep latency, daytime dysfunction significant differences between two ingredients, Literature and History students time to fall asleep ingredients, daytime function disorder ingredients on the scores were higher than the science and engineering students.(4) Whether the one-child college students on the PSQI is significantly different, non-child’PSQI score higher than the one-child. The PSQI component comparison, the sleep efficiency component significantly different, non-child sleep efficiency component score is higher than the one-child.(5) Different grades of Students in the PSQI total score difference was not significant, but the PSQI ingredients comparison, sleep significant differences in the time component college senior, after further after the multiple comparisons, the highest score lowest score sophomore.(6) Different students to college students in the PSQI total score difference was not significant, but the the PSQI component comparison, time to fall asleep ingredients, ingredients significant difference in sleep disorders, the rural students college students fall asleep ingredients, sleep disturbance component scores were higher than urban students university students.(7) College students of different genders in the SCL-90anxiety factor significant difference statistically significant level of significance, male college student anxiety subscale scores than female students.(8) Different majors in SCL-90factor with obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety factor significant differences reached statistical significance on the level of significance, Literature and History students score on the factor of obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety factor than science and engineering students.(9) Whether the one-child college students in the SCL-90anxiety factor, the factor of depression, hostility factors, psychiatric symptoms factor SCL90Total significant difference reached statistical significance on the significance level, non-child anxiety factor, factor of depression, hostility factors, psychiatric symptoms factor, SCL-90Total scores were higher than one child.(10) Different grades of college students of SCL-90obsessive-compulsive disorder factor, paranoid significant difference reached significant resistance level of statistical significance after after the multiple test, paranoid and obsessive-compulsive disorder factor, both are university grade the highest score, the lowest score in the fourth grade.(11) Enrollment in college students hostile factor of the SCL-90, phobic significant reach statistical significance for rural students and college students on a hostile factor, fear factor scores were higher than for urban students and college students.(12) The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality score score correlation coefficient (r=0.317) and SCL-90, college students sleep disorders and mental health with a certain degree of negative correlation, the higher the degree of college students sleep disorders, the lower the level of students’ psychological health; Conversely, college students sleep barriers to lower the level, the higher the level of college students’ psychological health.
