Middle school grammar teaching is under a changing process from being emphasized tobeing weakened. The once highlighted grammar teaching has been gradually weakened andmarginalized, and with the emphasis on humanity based on Chinese new curriculum criterion,and the prevailing of "Language Awareness-oriented Theory", grammar teaching is evenquestioned. That grammar teaching is weakened is an undisputable fact. The lack of grammarteaching in middle school is a reason for students’ weak grammar study. This has bought a bigobstacle to high school classical Chinese grammar learning as well as a challenge to Chineseteachers and students.Classical Chinese teaching is the focal point and also difficulty of high school Chineseteaching. Yet classical Chinese grammar study is the most difficult part of classical Chineseteaching. Classical Chinese grammar study is an essential component of classical Chineseteaching, and also an important way to foster students’ classical Chinese reading ability.Therefore, against the major background of grammar teaching being marginalized, it isnecessary to study and explore classical Chinese grammar teaching in high school.On the basis of considerable documents and materials, questionnaires and classroompractices, combining the current situation of high school classical Chinese grammar teaching,this text concludes the existing problems in high school classical Chinese grammar teachingand analyzes the causes. Hereafter, this text tries to explore some effective teaching methods,to pay attention to link up middle school and high school grammar teaching, and to alter thesingle method of teaching, to foster a good habit of classical Chinese grammar study, thus toenhance the effectiveness of classical Chinese grammar teaching and to improve readingability.
